Patty Jackson is one of the most respected product development leaders in the youth space. With more then 25 years leading teams that have generated more than 2 billion in retail sales, her vision and team building skills have spanned toys, electronics, learning and countless other arenas. Having started in tech with IBM and HP upon earning her MBA from Stanford, she has not only evolved with the changing youth landscape, but has played a major part in creating products that have shaped that evolution in play.
Patty (Founder of PB&J Marketing) has been actively consulting for the last 5 years working with a wide range of companies (LeapFrog, Hasbro, Smarty Ants, Juno Baby, HopeLab, Spinmaster, Treasure Bay & Creativity). Since March 2011 she has been working with LeapFrog running their Inventor Program, fast-tracking strategic project initiatives, and working with the Advanced Concept Technology Team.
Patty was Head of Product Development (EVP) for Zizzle, LLC where she brought to market numerous product lines ranging from ESPN products to Pirates of the Caribbean Action Figures to High School Musical Toys. During the past 25 years, Patty established an industry-leading reputation in the areas of product development, marketing, advertising & sourcing. She also has extensive experience in working with partners in the Orient to conceive, design and manufacture new and highly successful electronic interactive toys.
As a Senior Vice President of Product Development at Hasbro, & Vice President of Marketing at Tiger Electronics Toys her creativity and out of the box thinking established new niches in toys with brands such as HitClips, Talkboy, Poo-Chi & VideoNow.
While at Kransco/Wham-O, Patty helped reestablish and market such classic toys as the Hula Hoop, the Frisbee, and the Hackey Sack to new generations of children.
Patty’s work with several Fortune 500 companies brought to life exciting products for licensors such as Disney, Star Wars, Sesame Street, Nickelodeon, NBA, MLB, ESPN and Harry Potter. Patty’s first jobs in the toy industry were at Worlds of Wonder and Galoob Toys. During her career Patty has worked on a wide range of products: dolls, animatronic plush, RC cars, ELAs, action figures, sports & water toys, youth electronics and hand-held games.
In 2007 Patty won the Women in Toys “Woman of the Year – Manufacturing Award” and then in 2013 was awarded “Sonoma Valley Fund Star Volunteer Award” for her non-profit activities.
Patty also seeks to give back to the community. She is a founding board member of the San Francisco Bay Area “I Have A Dream” Foundation, and Sweetwater Spectrum (non-profit dedicated to creating supportive living residential communities for adults with autism). Patty has also served on the board of The Marin Humane Society.
Patty graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania and has a Master of Business Administration degree from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
